Plagiarism policy

PUPJST is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in academic publishing. To ensure originality and integrity, all submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using Turnitin.

Acceptable Similarity Index

  • Manuscripts with a similarity score of 15% or less (excluding references, quotes, and commonly used phrases) are considered acceptable.

  • Manuscripts exceeding 15% similarity will be subject to further review to determine if the overlaps constitute plagiarism or are due to properly cited sources.

Unacceptable Forms of Plagiarism

PUPJST strictly prohibits the following:

  • Verbatim Copying – Directly copying text from other sources without proper citation.

  • Self-Plagiarism – Republishing one's own previously published work without significant modifications.

  • Improper Paraphrasing – Rewording text from another source without proper attribution.

  • Fabrication or Falsification – Presenting false or manipulated data.

Author Responsibility

Authors must ensure that their work is original, properly cited, and ethically sound. By submitting to PUPJST, authors acknowledge and accept this plagiarism policy.
