Peer Review Policy

The PUP Journal of Science and Technology (PUPJST) upholds a rigorous peer review process
to ensure the quality, integrity, and credibility of published research. The journal follows a
double-blind peer review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each
other.

The Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of PUPJST is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted
to the journal should be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to
researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The EIC may be guided by the
policies of the journal’s editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then
be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. EIC’s decisions are based on
the manuscript evaluation reports of peer reviewers or editorial board members.
The decision to publish is based on a manuscript's originality, writing clarity, validity of
information, and overall significance, not on the author's personal attributes or institutional
affiliation.
