About the Journal

The Mabini Review Journal is an open-access university journal administered by the Research Publications Office under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Development. Beginning with its 2025 volume, the journal adopts a biannual publication schedule and invites submissions from both local and international scholars. These submissions may include research articles, scholarly manuscripts, and book reviews representing a wide range of philosophical traditions and intellectual perspectives.

The journal particularly encourages works that engage with Filipino Philosophy, cultural studies in local and global contexts, Philippine studies, the humanities, political theory, social history, and allied fields.  Manuscripts submitted for consideration are expected to demonstrate analytical depth, scholarly rigor, and coherent argumentation, while contributing meaningfully to ongoing philosophical and interdisciplinary discourse.

The goals of the publication are as follows: (1) maintain confidentiality in managing submitted manuscripts; (2) observe timely publication of the journal; (3) pursue unbiased double blind review system; and (4) ensure that editorial decisions are based on originality, relevance, and quality of a manuscript and its contribution to the body of knowledge in the disciplines that the journal seeks to cultivate.
