Peer Review Process

Ang Entrada ay sumusunod sa double-blind peer review system, kung saan ang identidad ng parehong tagasuri (reviewer) at may-akda (contributor) ay nananatiling kumpidensiyal sa isa’t isa. Karaniwang kinakailangan ang hindi bababa sa dalawang independiyenteng tagasuri para sa bawat artikulong pananaliksik. Isinasaalang-alang ng Editor ang mga komento at rekomendasyon ng mga tagasuri sa pagpapasya kung tatanggapin o tatanggihan ang isang manuskrito, subalit ang pinal na desisyon ay nananatiling pananagutan ng Editor.

1. Paunang Proseso ng Pagsusuri ng Editorial Board: Bago ang proseso ng pagsusuri, isinasagawa ang paunang pagsusuri ng mga kasapi ng editorial board upang matiyak ang kaangkupan ng manuskrito para sa publikasyon. Sinusuri ng editorial board ang mga sumusunod na elemento ng mga manuskrito: pamantayan sa pagsipi (referencing standards), gramatika, plagyarismo, at iba pang teknikal na pamantayan. May karapatan din ang editorial board na salain ang mga manuskritong hindi nauugnay sa tema ng dyornal.
2. Blind Peer-Review Process: Ang dyornal ay sumusunod sa double-blind peer review system kung saan ang identidad ng parehong tagasuri at may-akda ay pinananatiling kumpidensiyal mula sa isa’t isa. Dahil maaaring maging matrabaho ang proseso ng pagsusuri, hinihiling ang pasensiya ng may-akda sa bahaging ito ng daloy ng publikasyon.
3. Abiso ng Pagtanggap o Pagtanggi: Batay sa puna ng mga referee o tagasuri, ipaaalam sa may-akda kung nagpasya ang editorial board na tanggapin o tanggihan ang isinumiteng akda para sa publikasyon. Sa maraming pagkakataon, inaatasan ang may-akda na rebisahin ang kanyang isinumite batay sa mga rekomendasyon ng mga referee at ng editorial board. Ang parehong mga tagasuri at ang editorial board ang may huling pasya kung isasama ang manuskrito sa dyornal o hindi.
4. Abiso para sa Paglalathala: Magpapadala ng abiso para sa paglalathala sa may-akda kapag naisagawa na ang mga inirekomendang rebisyon. Sa yugtong ito, kinakailangan ang ganap na pakikipagtulungan ng may-akda sapagkat kabilang dito ang pag-eedit ng estilo, format, gramatika, at layout ng tinanggap na manuskrito.
5. Ang lahat ng tinanggap na manuskrito para sa publikasyon ay daraan sa copyediting at proofreading, at ibinabalik sa may-akda para sa pag-apruba ng mahahalagang o malalaking pagbabagong editoryal. Gayunpaman, may karapatan ang editor na magsagawa ng maliliit na pagbabago para sa kalinawan at kawastuhan nang hindi na humihingi ng pahintulot mula sa may-akda.

Entrada observes double-blind peer review system where both the identities of the reviewer and the contributor are kept confidential from each other. A minimum of two independent reviewers is normally required for every research article. The Editor will consider peer reviewers' comments and recommendations when deciding whether to accept or reject a manuscript, but the final decision is the Editor's responsibility.

1. Initial screening process of the Editorial Board. Prior to the review process, initial screening is done by the members of the editorial board to guarantee the appropriateness of the manuscript for publication. The editorial board checks the following elements of the manuscripts: referencing standards, grammar, plagiarism, and other technical standards. Also, the editorial board reserves the right to filter manuscripts that are irrelevant to the Journal’s theme.
2. Blind peer-review process. The Journal observes double-blind peer review system where both the identities of the reviewer and the contributor are kept confidential from each other. Since the review process could be tedious, we ask for the patience of the author at this particular stage of publication process flow.
3. Notice of acceptance or rejection. Based on the feedback from the referees or reviewers, the author will be informed whether the Editorial Board has decided to accept or reject the submission for publication. In many cases, the author is tasked to revise one’s submission based on the recommendations of the referees and the Editorial Board. Both the reviewers and the Editorial Board have the final say whether to include the manuscript or not in the Journal.
4. Notice to publish. A notice to publish will be sent to the author once the recommended revisions are addressed. In this stage, we require full cooperation from the author as this stage involves editing the style, format, grammar, and layout of the accepted submission.
5. All accepted manuscripts for publication are copyedited, proofread, and sent back to the contributor for approval of significant/substantial editorial changes. However, the editor reserves the right to make minor changes for clarity and accuracy without seeking the author’s permission.
