PHOTO GALLERY: Peace and Exile

Abstract

Photos of the late former NDFP chief political consultant Jose Maria Sison and current interim NDFP chief negotiator Julieta de Lima. The photos, taken in October and November 2019, show journalist Michael Beltran interviewing Joma Sison and Julie de Lima in and around their home in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The interviews served as part of the material for his book, The Singing Detainee and the Librarian with One Book: Essays on Exile. The photos were taken by Beltran’s good friend Kim Garcia who sadly passed away a year later.
