The purpose of this study is to narrate San Pablo City’s historical practice of celebrating the procession during the Holy Week season. Specifically, the researcher wishes to answer the following questions concerning the town’s annual procession. Why was the assemblage formed?; What is the narrative of the assemblage in the town of San Pablo according to the following: combustion, division, and reconstruction?; How does the assemblage represent the culture and faith of the people of San Pablo? The researcher employed Deleuze’s and Guattari’s concept of assemblage to present the sequence of important events behind the town’s celebration of the procession during the festivity. To gather data, the researcher conducted a face-to-face and a telephone interview with the members of the church, a private religious organization known as Samahan ng Mahal na Pasyon, and the devotees and owners of life-size images who actively participate in the annual celebration.
