About the Journal

The Education Review (EdRev) is one of the flagship journals of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. It is a peer-refereed journal that provides researchers with a platform for research engagement in the local and international community. The annual publication of EdRev presents a substantial collection of emerging trends and issues in education for a better understanding of the educational landscape and the people working in it. EdRev does not charge article processing fees (APCs) to allow a wide range of knowledge sharing across the globe.

The goals of the publication are as follows: (1) maintain confidentiality in managing submitted manuscripts; (2) observe timely publication of the journal; (3) pursue unbiased double blind review system; and (4) ensure that editorial decisions are based on originality, relevance, and quality of a manuscript and its contribution to the body of knowledge in the disciplines that the journal seeks to cultivate.

 

Focus and Scope

The contents of EdRev include analyses of theories, materials development, application of methods and theories, policy descriptions and implementations, research reports, qualitative and quantitative studies, and systematic reviews. Specifically, the following topics of interest are the focus of EdRev’s publication:

Publication Fee

  • There are no article processing charges (APC). 

Advertising Policy

The strategies and programs of the Research Publications Office include posting of article abstracts on the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, PUP Research and Extension, and Education Review official Facebook pages.

Archiving

This journal uses the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) that allows publishers of OJS journals to digitally preserve their content. This means in the event that a journal stops publishing or goes offline, there will be a way to have continued long-term access to articles and issues. The PKP PN deposits content using the LOCKSS Program, which offers decentralized and distributed preservation. Also, PUP has established its own Online Journal System that serves as an archive of all its University Journals.
